Online Registration for Nursery Admission of the children belonging to Economically Weaker Section has been over now. According to the Delhi government, more than 50,000 applicants have registered for admissions in Delhi schools against 25,000 available seats under EWS category.
Nursery Admission Application in Delhi Schools exceeds the available seats
It was earlier stated that the in case the number of applications for admission against the EWS category exceeds the number of seats available, Nursery admission shall be made by draw of lots in the presence of parents of the applicants and of a nominee of Education Department, not below the rank of Vice Principal.
The last date for submitting the application form online fro Nursery Admission is January 22, 2016. The first list of admission will be declared on February 15, and the second list will be out on February 28, 2016. List of children in the first list along with waiting list to the extent of 25% of seats under the economically weaker sections quota shall be displayed on the notice board of the school on the scheduled date.
After the Nursery admission process the number of vacant seats will be displayed on the official website www.edudel.nic.in and admission to such vacant seats of EWS/DG category will continue throughout the academic year and the District Admission Monitoring Committee has been empowered to get filed such vacancies.
Delhi School Timing change due to Cold weather
Delhi Schools Changes in School timings due to cold weather, As per the notification issued by the Government of National Capital Territory of Delhi, Directorate of Education on January 20, 2016, primary class (Class KG to V) will remain close for two days.
The notice states that, Due to the ongoing cold weather forecast that temperature of Delhi may decrease further, it has been decided that primary class (Class KG to V) will remain suspended from January 21, 2016 (Thursday) to January 23, 2016 (Saturday). Further, the schools are directed to amend the school timing as under:-
Morning shift and General Shift Government/Government aided schools will start one hour later than their usual time and evening shift government/government-aided schools will close one hour before their usual time. All the Delhi schools under Directorate of Education are directed to follow the above instructions.
