BJP leaders announces reward for hitting Bhansali with shoe

On Friday Karni Sena has damaged the set of veteran filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Padmavati’ at Jaigarh fort in Jaipur.


The members of Karni Sena were protesting against the shooting of his upcoming film ‘Padmavati’ at the set. Even Bhansali was slapped and assaulted by the members in Jaipur.

According to a report, on Monday, a BJP leader in Madhya Pradesh has announced a reward of Rs 10,000 to anyone who can hit veteran filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali with a shoe.

The announcement was made by Akhilesh Khandelwal. Akhilesh Khandelwal is also the chairman of a civic body in Madhya Pradesh.

Civic body chairman Akhilesh Khandelwal has announced reward on per hit to Sanjay Leela Bhansali for distorting the historical facts on Padmavati.

Akhilesh Khandelwal has made the announcemet on his facebook.

The protest is been continued in Rajasthan over Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s upcoming film ‘Padmavati’ days after the filmmaker was slapped and assualted in Jaipur by Karni Sena members.

The makers of the film have assured that there is no romantic dream sequence, intimate scene or any other objectional romantic scene between Alauddin Khilji (Ranveer Singh) and Padmavati (Deepika Padukone) in the film.

Earlier on Monday, even Sanjay Leela Bhansali has also assured that in the film history will not be distorted. Further, he has said that the film will not have any objectionable scenes and romantic between Alauddin Khilji and Padmavati’s character.

Whereas on the other hand, Rajput Sabha has asked to change the title of the film and has demanded a review of the film before its release.

None of the actors- Ranveer Singh, Shahid Kapoor and Deepika Padukone was present on the set during the ruckus.

Earlier, the same body has done the protest against Ashutosh Gowariker’s film ‘Jodhaa Akbar’. Karni Sena has raised their objection against the film ‘Padmavati’ which is incorrectly portraying Rani Padmini.

The film industry has come together against the attack on Bhansali during the shooting. Celebrities have rallied their support to Sanjay Leela Bhansali and have also written on twitter about the incident.

The film is scheduled to release in November.
