In a recent update about the encounter going in the Budgam district of Kashmir, wasBoth, the terrorist, killed by the security forces and one weapon was seized from them. The Budgam Encounter was going between Security forces and two terrorists hiding in a building. When the forces started their operations on Tuesday Morning, stone pelters attacked the forces with rock and also blocked the way for the vehicles.
Warnings from the forces for not to throw stones on them and move away from their way was unheard by the stone pelters, which in turn forced the troops to open fire on them. It killed two and 17 others were injured in this.
After some of the security forces were busy tackling the stone pelters, some of the forces went on to strike the terrorists who were hiding since last night in the valley. After a long tussle, one of the terrorists were killed. The operation is still underway.
On this undergoing operation of Budgam Encounter, Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti Sayeed said, “No solutions will come out from this conversation with guns and grenades. We do fight very bravely with the terrorists and other anti-nationals but the result is only that the common and innocent people in the valley are hiding in their house and our soldiers and militants are dying. We should find out a way out for this situation. Because until and unless this situation is not going to change, Kashmir and its people will not find their fundamental rights and freedom.”
Mehbooba was addressing the media on the current encounter going on in Budgam. The battle has ended, and one Army personnel injured. Terrorists are expected to have come across the border. Any information about the terrorist is yet to be roped out.
