Healthy people can endure these common summer problems, but the individuals with a weak heart could have serious problems like stroke, dehydration or even heart attack. Scorching Heat could be serious problem for Heart Patients
If we see from the point of view, the heart is nothing but a framework of muscles which with the help of arteries supply blood to each organ in the body. Due to the increase in the temperature of outside, much water is spent to keep the body fresh. The heart has to function a lot faster so that the blood reaching the surface of the skin along with sweat keeps the body safe.
The heart patients are more prone to the heat stroke because the flow of blood gets limited.
Symptoms of Heat Stroke
Heat does lots of work in summers. The symptoms of heat stroke are sweating, cold, dizziness, stress, fainting, vomiting, nausea, muscle tension, swollen ankles and problem in breathing.
Prevention of Heat Stroke
To prevent themselves from heat stroke, the heart patients should remain in their houses in summers during the afternoon. They should wear open and airy clothes. Also, the heart patients should drink lots of water to prevent themselves from heat stroke. They shouldn’t exercise.
In the case of heat stroke, the heart patient should be transferred to the nearest hospital. The dehydration during summers is very dangerous for the heart patient. It becomes the reason for leaks in arteries and heat stroke. People more than 50 years generally couldn’t get the idea of how much thirsty they are and hence become a victim of dehydration. Once out of the house, you should keep in mind to drink water regularly.
If you go out for a walk in the morning, go during the winters only. Also, running and gardening should be done when the weather is not that hot. During summers, keep in mind that you shouldn’t wear coarse clothes. Wear light weighted and light-colored clothes so that it could be easy for you to breath. To prevent dehydration, keep yourself away from caffeine and alcohol. Consume light and healthy food. Also, prevent from outside food. Drinking ample amount of water is necessary. So, drink 8 to 12 glasses of water on a daily basis. In summers, good sleep is essential for reducing stress and gives energy to the body.
