Sadhguru’s Isha Foundation has taken a huge stride forward in offering assistance to those who need it the most. Isha Foundaion volunteers have been working on the ground since 1st April 2020. They have undertaken a wide range of relief activities namely, providing food, offering practices to improve immunity, providing ambulance services, setting up and running Covid Care Centres, operating covid support lines, providing masks and PPE kits to frontline/sanitary workers, donating oxygen concentrators to government hospitals, providing insurance cover for vulnerable persons like sanitary workers, offering the rural Isha Vidhya Schools to the Government and so on.

To lessen the grim effects of the second wave of COVID-19, Isha Foundation has also adopted over 43 villages around the Isha Yoga Center to carry out relief activities.

In addition to these initiatives, Isha is currently maintaining 12 crematoriums in Coimbatore, 4 in Chennai and 1 in Namakkal and 1 in Neyveli. Isha Crematoriums have been working round the clock for more than a year to make sure that the family members can bid at least a respectful farewell to their loved ones they have unfortunately lost.

The times are indeed difficult for the nation. And right now, the very least we can do is stay at home, go out only when absolutely necessary, maintain social distance at all times, wear masks, wash our hands more often, contribute to the organizations providing aid if we can and be responsible citizens. Stay home. Stay safe.
