Filmmaker Karan Johar who recently was in controversies for his film ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’ now considers himself more of a tv personality.
Karan Johar is ready to judge singing show ‘Dil Hai Hindustani’. Karan said “I don’t think anything is left on television that I have not done. I am hosting a show, earlier I was the judge of a dance show and now I am all set to judge the singing show, I have covered it all.”
He added, “I am more of a television personality. Now directing films seems to be an incidental part of my personality.
On Tuesday, Karan Johar was present at the press conference of the singing show ‘Dil Hai Hindustani’
Producer Karan Johar has hosted reality show ‘Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa’ and ‘India’s Got Talent’. During the press conference, he said, people ask me or talk to me about a reality show or the talk show and it is very embarrassing for me. I have to remind them that I am a producer and a filmmaker too.
However, Karan thinks the impact of television is huge than the silver screen.
Karan told, three percent people of our country watch movies and on the other hand, 25 percent of the people watch television.
Filmmaker Karan Johar, who is all set to judge the singing reality show ‘Dil Hai Hindustani,’ says he himself cannot sing at all. This is my first singing reality show.
“I cannot sing and I do not have any knowledge about singing but yes I do understand Bollywood music, and for judging the technicalities, we have Shekhar Ravjiani, Shalmali Kholgade and Badshah. I will look for the X factor in a person”, he added.
Karan confessed that once he was advised by his mother not to sing in the school competition. I was eight years old, it was a talent parade in my school. At that time my mother told me that either I should recite a poem or give a speech but don’t sing.
