The US today said it has been out of the global agreement on immigration. Behind this step, he has argued that many provisions of this agreement with the United Nations under Obama’s rule are “conflicting” of its immigration and refugee policies and immigration principles of the Trump Administration.

US moved out from United Nations agreement on immigration and refugees

The American mission for the United Nations said in a statement: “President Trump has decided that America is ending its participation in the process of this agreement, whose goal is to achieve international consensus in the United Nations in 2018.” Earlier, the American Mission made the United Nations Secretary-General aware of the American decision to end participation in the global agreement on immigration.

As said in a statement, “There are several such provisions in the New York Declaration that are inconsistent with the immigration system of American immigration and refugee policies and the Trump administration.” America’s participation in this process of the agreement was started in 2016.

US Ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley said that the US is proud of its moral leadership to provide its immigrant property and assistance to refugees and migrants around the world.

He said that no country has done so much more than the US and its generosity will continue.

He said, “But our decisions on immigration policies should be taken only by Americans. This decision will be about how we will control our boundaries better and who is allowed to enter our country. The global view of the New York Declaration is not favorable to American domination. ”

Under Trump’s regime, the US has separated itself from many global commitments. These include the exclusion of UN cultural and educational units, UNESCO and Paris climate change agreement itself.

Sinha claimed that the BJP’s strength in Bengal is rising and said such incidents (cancellation of booking) would not be able to stop party’s popularity in the state.

“The strength of BJP in West Bengal is constantly on the rise. No matter how much injustice is done, no one can stop the BJP from increasing its strength in the state,” the Union Communication minister said on the sidelines of BSNL’s function in the city.

Shah was supposed to hold a programme in the state owned Netaji Indoor Stadium during his visit to the state from September 11-13.

The BJP alleged that a state-owned Netaji indoor stadium, where Shah was scheduled to attend a programme had cancelled the booking for the event.

The state BJP leadership had claimed that the stadium authorities had earlier accepted the booking for Shah’s programme but later denied it stating the stadium was booked for the entire month barring the days of Durga Puja.

West Bengal’s ruling Trinamool Congress (TMC) has claimed it had nothing to do with the alleged cancellation.

Shah had yesterday said that the BJP will move the court against the alleged cancellation of booking at a state-owned Netaji Indoor stadium for a party event in Kolkata.

Tejashwi says he too will stake claim to form government

The JD(U)-BJP combine may have the numbers in the Bihar Assembly to prove its majority, but RJD tonight appeared in no mood to give up without a fight, with Tejashwi Yadav saying he would stake claim to form the next government.

“Have sought an appointment with the governor. Will stake claim to form a government as the single largest party. Will also get the support of JD(U) MLAs who have won after defeating BJP candidates,” Tejashwi tweeted.

The numbers are, however, stacked against him. The JD(U) and NDA allies together have 129 MLAs in the 243-member Bihar Assembly, seven more than the magic figure of 122.

RJD has 81 MLAs and even if Congress with 27 MLAs and CPI-ML (03) decide to back Tejashwi, their number would add up to 110. There are four independent MLAs who are likely to throw their weight behind the coalition which enjoys majority support.

Along with this, the government of Bihar’s 20-month-old Maha coalition fell. In the Maha coalition, Nitish’s party Janta Dal (United) was in addition to the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) and the Congress.

After the raids of the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) in the case of corruption against the son and deputy chief minister of the RJD chief and the Chief Minister Lalu Prasad, the demand for his resignation had arisen, with which the cracks had arisen in the alliance. Tejaswi had refused to resign, due to which the crack became wide and finally, Nitish resigned.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi Tweeted, “We respect the decision of Nitish Kumar to fight against corruption. I congratulate Nitish Kumar on his victory in the fight against corruption. 1.25 billion citizens are welcoming and supporting his honesty.”
