Nursery Admission: 50000 Applicants against 25K seats under EWS category

Online Registration for Nursery Admission of the children belonging to Economically Weaker Section has been over now. According to the Delhi government, more than 50,000 applicants have registered for admissions in Delhi schools against 25,000 available seats under EWS category.

Earlier stated that, If the number of requests for admission will exceed the number of posts available, Nursery admission shall be made by draw of lots in the presence of parents of the applicants and a nominee of Education Department, not below the rank of Vice Principal.

The last date for submitting the application form online for Nursery Admission is January 22, 2016. The first admission list will declare on February 15, and the second list on February 28, 2016. List of children in the first list along with waiting list to the extent of 25% of seats under the economically weaker sections quota shall display on the notice board of the school on the scheduled date.

After the Nursery admission process, the number of vacant seats will show on the official website Admission on such vacant seats of EWS/DG category will continue throughout the academic year, and the DAMC has been empowered to get filed such vacancies.

Delhi School Timing change due to Cold Weather

Delhi Schools Changes in School timings due to cold weather, As per the notification issued by the Government of National Capital Territory of Delhi, Directorate of Education on January 20, 2016, Primary class (Class KG to V) will remain close for two days.

The notice states, “Due to the ongoing cold weather forecast that temperature of Delhi may decrease further, Class KG to V will remain suspended from January 21, 2016 (Thursday) to January 23, 2016 (Saturday). The schools are directed to amend the timing as under:-

Morning shift and General Shift Government/Government aided schools will start one hour later than their usual time and evening shift government/government-aided schools will close one hour before their regular time. All the Delhi schools under Directorate of Education are directed to follow the above instructions.
