Actor Shilpa Shinde saw in sitcom ‘Bhabhi Ji Ghar Pe Hain,’ files police complaint against Cine and TV Artists Association (CINTAA). The entire controversy taking place between Shilpa Shinde popularly known as Angoori of ‘Bhabhi Ji Ghar Pe Hain’ and its producer Benafir Kohli has taken an ugly turn. The Producer Benafir sent a legal notice for which Shilpa had to attend a meeting with Cine and TV Artist Association.
According to the Shilpa Shinde, CINTAA association is more a producer association than an artist association. They have cheated me. The producers of ‘Bhabhi Ji Ghar Pe Hain’ are forcing me to do work in their serial, which I refused. We make people laugh, and they can’t make us work while we’re in tears. I can’t work with such people who have no respect for artists.
She said I would go legal; they can’t stop me working with other channels. I do have medical issues, which I can’t discuss with them; I will put all these matters in front of the judge in the courtroom.
They want me to work, and I don’t want to work with them. I know I was doing well in the show, I was working hard for the show, now producers are trying hard to find my replacement but not able to cast anyone in my place. People love to see me as ‘Angoori Bhabhi, ’ and they loved my performance. The producers of the show know that audience will not accept anyone other than me in the show.
The producers of the show want me to sign an exclusive contract with them, but I am not for signing an exclusive contract. Initially, I was not was not ready for the role, nd when they repeatedly asked me to perform in their show, I agreed. Now they want me to sign the exclusive contract, which is not justified.
The production house never listens to your need. They never agree on paper but wants everything on paper from your side.
