Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal was attacked on Saturday during an announcement on the odd-even scheme at a press conference, Ved Prakash threw a shoe on him. Ved Prakash told that he is from Aam Aadmi Sena, an organization separated from Aam Aadmi Party.

The attacker has been identified as Ved Prakash. He said that he is General Secretary of Aam Aadmi Sena and he was afraid as no action was taken against the people who were involved in the alleged irregularities in the distribution of CNG stickers.
While Kejriwal was addressing to media and making an announcement on the 2nd term of the odd-even scheme which is going to held on April 15, 28-year old Ved Prakash, first said something then he attacked by throwing a shoe and a CD at Delhi’s Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal. Showing readiness, AAP worker blocked the shoe.
Before taking him to the police, he was beaten by AAP workers. The incident happened at around 4:10 in the evening. Police said Ved Prakash is a resident of North-West Delhi and he is a property dealer. He was taken into custody, soon after the incident took place and later he was arrested.
AAP Spokesperson termed it Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) cheap Stunt, BJP disavow
Raghav Chaddha (AAP’s Spokesperson) Says, Certain adversaries of Aam Aadmi Party are uncomfortable with the success of Odd-Even policy, they’re uncomfortable with the growing popularity of Arvind Kejriwal, and we’ve seen this time and again that we’ve resorted such anti-social attendances and behaviors. These lumpen elements have no space in our democracy, they need to be condemned, and whenever such attack has happened on any of our leaders, AAP and Arvind Kejriwal have only emerged stronger.
He added, my advice to my political adversaries would be, please fight us politically, don’t resort to such tactics, this will only work in our favor.
It was a conspiracy when the Chief Minister was addressing the press conference was attacked, the person who attacked Arvind Kejriwal was in touch with the Delhi unit of the Bhartiya Janta Party. His call records must be checked. Delhi Police is in possession of his belonging including his phone. His phone calls must be verified, the name of the leaders behind this tactic must be made public and proper investigation need to take place.
Aam Aadmi Sena association with the attack
As far as Aam Aadmi Sena is concerned, this outfit has previously also attempted to come out with fake strings and such attacks on our party and particularly on Arvind Kejriwal, their roots trace back to the Bhartiya Janta Party.
Congress and BJP have condemned the incident, but they’ve added that it seems like Aam Aadmi Party’s internal turmoil is out and revealed in public. It is completely the case of the disappointment of members of the party.
